The Home of Excellence in Composites

Our Latvian manufacturing facility offers both advanced and traditional manufacturing techniques for low and large volume orders. Our clients can benefit from solid surface vacuum casting, closed mold RTM part making, open molding methods of laying fiberglass and manufacturing with chopper guns and hand laminating.

Diverse Solutions

Aquatica’s specialists have years of experience in the diverse field of composite materials ensuring every key function of business is carried out professionally. We offer everything from a simple fibreglass, solid surface or carbon fiber parts through to the development, design and custom solutions that address a diverse and complex array of design, engineering and aesthetical appeal challenges.

Award-Winning Material

Our proprietary solid surface manufacturing process uses custom made high-tech reactors and high-quality raw materials to create high-quality parts. Aquatica produces three proprietary, in-house developed flagship materials, AquateXā„¢, NeroXā„¢ and DurateX. Award winning AquateXā„¢ solid surfaces are meticulously crafted to withstand abuses of everyday use.Ā

Inhouse Solid Surface Laboratory

Testing is conducted at our inhouse Solid Surface Laboratory and follows rigorous scientific standards. All resin deliveries to our plant are subject to reactivity and viscosity tests. Mineral filler deliveries are subject to particle purity, particle size and color testing. Even more rigorous quality control standards are applied to all finished goods.Ā

Crating

Aquatica spent years researching the best crating solutions in order to eliminate potential freight-related damage issues.Ā

FAQ’s

AquateXā„¢ bathtubs and washbasins are made by binding natural mineral derivatives like aluminum hydroxide with acrylic modified resins inside our proprietary temperature controlled reactor and casting them into moulds. Following the casting, our parts are subject to repeated heating and cooling cycles inside our proprietary curing oven to give our washbasins and tubs improved surface hardness, blushing, and superior thermal shock resistance.

AquateXā„¢ is our award winning material. AquateX solid surfaces are manufactured of a proprietary formula composed of polymer resin and filled with aluminum hydroxide and other specialized additives. The strength of AquateXā„¢ comes from the acrylic and polyester resins, while aluminum hydroxide gives AquateXā„¢ its chemical, stain, and fire-resistant properties.Ā Ā

NeroXā„¢ is a new generation of stunning black proprietary solid surface composite material. It is a blend of Hematite and Boehmite minerals with state-of-the-art acrylic modified resins and high-purity carbon black pigment. Using high-speed, vacuum assisted, dispersion and mixing we were able to create a visually stunning and highly desirable, high performance black solid surface material.

DurateXā„¢ is a light-weight state of the art glass-fiber composite suitable for both indoor-outdoor bathtub, spa, auto, transportation, marine, interior design, furniture, aerospace,Ā  manufacturing. DurateXā„¢ features excellent UV, blush, chemical & blister resistance (bromine and chlorine water) and is capable of withstanding air and water temperature variations. This technology has been borrowed from the yacht building industry and allows AquaticaĀ® to realize architecturally, the most daring ideas and challenging shapes.

Our experts follow rigorous quality control procedures throughout the entire R&D, and manufacturing process. We perform Barcol mechanical hardness checks, digital colorimetric tests, resistance to traction and bending, visual and dimensional inspection. Accelerated aging tests (Xenon lamp test) and thermal shock tests are also carried out on material specimens upon modifications in chemical formulation.

Aquatica’s CNC machining service produces parts accurately and quickly. A part is placed securely into a machine vice and a cutting tool automatically moves around it. CNC milling benefits the marine, aviation, aerospace, automotive, transportation, sport and manufacturing industries. We offer CNC milling services for both large and low volume orders.
